Today I was hungry. As usual, I wanted sugar. Mom said no. Then I went and thought about what I should make. So I decided to try out an easy Olive Brushetta snack!
The Easiest Snack Without Sugar

When I first had this idea, I found this recipe, which looked very intimidating. I am not sure most kids would want that many ingredients on their ‘toast.’
First, I started out by warming up our homemade bread. Then, I got out my ingredients which were cream cheese, olives, garlic powder and feta.

After that, I put lots of cream cheese on my bread. Somehow, a thin layer didn’t appeal to me the same way a thick layer did. Then, I sprinkled just enough garlic powder on, so it wouldn’t overpower it, but be enough to taste it. Next, I halved the olives. I love olives, so I added plenty. For the final touch, I sprinkled some crumbled Feta cheese onto it. You don’t have to add it on, but I like the taste of it.

Olive Bruschetta is Salty
Yum. I loved this. However, I gave Mom a piece, and she immediately handed it back to me. It was way too salty for her. I thought it was great, but if you are like my Mom, and you don’t like too much salt, you could always lower the amount of olives and feta.

I really loved this snack, and I cannot wait to try it again! It definitely is one of my favorite snacks. It is right up there with homemade pretzels, but about a thousand times easier to make.
